Aero Makes PASGT Helmet More Comfortable |
The
March 2004 edition of S.W.A.T. magazine included an
extensive product review of the Oregon Aero BLSS Kit
(Ballistic Liner & Suspension System) upgrade for the
popular PASGT helmet.
The
article states that "Helmets may be for ballistic protection
(for shooters) or impact protection (such as aircrew), but
they are generally uncomfortable." Fortunately, the author
notes that Oregon Aero, "a forward thinking company out
of Scappoose, Oregon," manufactures helmet upgrades that
make helmets "enormously more comfortable to wear, more
stable, reduces helmet sound and vibration and makes the helmet
positively buoyant." The article also notes that the
BLSS Kit improves impact protection.
Oregon
Aero provides helmet upgrades for a wide variety of civilian,
military, and law enforcement helmets in addition to the PASGT
model. The upgrade offers the following benefits:
- Eliminates pain
- Reduces overall sound pressure
- Stabilizes helmet
- Improves energy absorption
- Improves fit
- Cooler and drier
- Reduces weight
