Harness-Pull Strength
The harness-pull strength test was conducted at Oregon Aero to ensure that the Four-Point Chin Strap/Harness and Integrated Nape Pad of the BLSS® Kit would meet or exceed the pull strength of the current issue PASGT helmet chin strap. The helmet equipped with the Four-Point Chin Strap/Harness and Integrated Nape Pad of the BLSS® Kit withstood forces in the range of 330-370 lbs. before breaking. The standard issue PASGT helmet chin strap failed at 230 lbs.
