SoftSeat® Portable Seat Cushion Testimonials

Pilots and non-pilots alike get the same benefits from our SoftSeat® Portable Seat Cushions. Here is a sampling of feedback.

My lower back and butt couldn't take more than an hour of driving without discomfort.  My wife and I recently went on a road trip and drove about 1200 miles.  I used the SoftSeat® Portable Seat Cushion the entire time and it really worked.  I was skeptical at first, but I'm not going on any more trips without it.

I have a very bad back, have had 6 spinal surgeries, and sitting has always been a problem until I found your SoftSeat® Portable Seat Cushion!  I take it everywhere and can now enjoy sitting for longer periods of time pain-free!  Your motto - "No More Pain" - is so very true!  Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

I purchased a SoftSeat® Portable Seat Cushion with back support at Oshkosh.  I loved sitting on them on the airline flight home, the airline flight a few days later, the car between all the places, and during the 60+ hours of flight instruction given in multiple airplanes since then.

I had a 552 mile business trip.  My wife could not go so I decided to take my 1940 J-3 Cub.  I did not know if my 50-year old body would react the same as when I was 30 so I ordered one of your portable seat cushions.  Each way was 9-1/2 hours with five stops.  I used to say after a long trip I was sitting on a fence post after two hours.  This trip was great.

As a pilot with a bad back, I recently purchased your Portable SoftSeat® Base/Lumbar Seat Cushion Combo. However, before getting the opportunity to test it in the plane, I set out on a 4,500 mile road trip to Alaska. This was a trip I would never have considered, but as a former customer, I had absolute faith in your company and its products. That faith proved to be well founded. I made the entire trip without any back discomfort (including using the seat cushion on a commercial flight home to Kansas City). As a bonus, I did not have the normal discomfort of sitting, even on 24 hour days in the car. I was able to go longer periods between "stretch" breaks without discomfort. Thanks for another great product.

I’ve got a one-of-a-kind bi-plane, the Talon Eagle. When I get into extreme aerobatics, the Pilot SoftSeat® doesn’t compress with G's. Having the seat height remain consistent is really important—you need the same line of sight for every maneuver and landing. ‘Flying by the seat of your pants’ isn’t a cliché; it’s true. Every sensory input you get, whether it’s the seat of your pants, your inner ear, or what you see, it’s all input. When the input from your seat is stable, it adds consistency and control to your performance.

Throughout my training I experimented with different airplanes and combinations of cushions and pillows, trying to get the right perspective without getting in the way of the yoke.  Then one day someone broke into my car and stole the duffel bag that held the pillows.  Without them I could not fly!  I had heard only good things about Oregon Aero® from other pilots, so I decided to make the investment and get myself a seat cushion set.  My flight instructor noticed a difference in my flying immediately.  Even power on stalls which made me apprehensive before, were performed with confidence because I was stable in my seat.  The seat cushions were secure and comfortable.  A big thanks to Oregon Aero® for helping me achieve my dream of becoming a flight instructor!

I was thoroughly amazed to find my Portable Pilot SoftSeat® w/ Lumbar Support waiting for me at my APO account so soon after I ordered it from your website.  Thank you so much!  I was a bit skeptical about the quality of your portable seat cushion, but after a long tanker sortie, I was a believer.  My back never felt better after calling it a day.

The SoftSeat® Portable Seat Cushion is comfortable on 10 to 11 hour flights piloting a 767 airliner.  I am sure passengers think I'm nuts when I carry my own seat cushion to a First-Class seat for my rest break, but the portable seat cushion is an improvement in that seat also!

Besides being so wonderfully comfortable hour after hour, my Portable SoftSeat® Base Seat Cushion (2 inches) and SoftSeat® Full Back Cushion w/ Adjustable Lumbar from Oregon Aero® gives me, at 5'1", that extra leg-length and height boost I need for better visibility when flying our team's Twin Comanche to airshows.  Thanks!

I have two ruptured lumbar discs, and flying for more than an hour was next to impossible before I bought your portable seat cushion.  Using it for the last six months has been amazing.  I just completed a 15-hour painless day recently that would have been impossible before.  I make anyone who complains about back pain sit in my Bell Jet Ranger helicopter now to show them how well it works.

I tried out my new Oregon Aero® SoftSeat® Porgable Seat Cushion for the first time while flying with my instructor, who said I greased four of my landings.  We did not even feel any of the tires touch.  It was amazing.  As I put away the airplane, my instructor agreed that my four textbook-quality landings were due to my new Oregon Aero® seat cushion.  I literally kissed the earth, being able to concentrate on my flying.  I did not have to think about how to get comfortable in a 172 with the new seat cushion.  Thank You!

I fly a Boeing 767 on international trips of 8-11 hours and the Pilot SoftSeat® Seat Cushion makes the long ride comfortable.  The cutout front of the seat cushion creates a perfect fit.  My regular SoftSeat® Seat Cushion has eliminated the back pain I used to get while sitting at my computer and in my car.

I use the Pilot SoftSeat® Seat Cushion in my Edge 540 aerobatic plane.  When pulling up to 10G's in a competition, the seat cushion takes on about 2,000 pounds.  It helps to make my performance more bearable and also reduces back pain when I'm done performing.
